Setting up a Mississippi S Corporation

mississippiDo you run your own business in Mississippi? Are you still operating as a sole proprietorship? A “regular” LLC? Did you even actually register anything with the state yet?

One of our kits could come in handy. First, it breaks down filling out and filing the necessary forms to create that entity type in Mississippi. Second, it shows how to fill out the documents required to operate, for tax purposes, as an s-corporation. Doing this can save you up to 15% in self-employment taxes! To find out more about the how’s and why’s, check out our additional resources below.

Our Mississippi S Corporation kit

As mentioned above, our kit will walk you through the process of setting up an entity and making the s-election. It also provides instruction for some little housekeeping items, like getting an EIN and templates for entity organizational documents. The LLC kit comes with single and multiple-member operating agreements while the corporation kit includes bylaws.

Now, down to the part about choosing an LLC or corporation. If you are wondering or even asking “Which is right for me?” you should probably go with the LLC version. This is because they are simpler and have less requirements, and who doesn’t need a little more “simple” in their life?
